Lacking the time

for rational thought

I look at my watch

to see what I’ve got


“11:45”!

says the band so cheery

I guess I have missed

11:30


What happened to time

why did it leave me?

what did I do

to miss 11:30?


I guess I was tired

or, maybe just sleepy

but nothing denying

I’ve missed 11:30


So here is my question

answer me clearly

what would you do

if you’d missed 11:30?


I must leave you dangling

and dripping with thought

I must check my watch now

to see what I got
